Jigyasa Programme: CSIR-NISTADS

CSIR-National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies, New Delhi organized an interactive session for the teachers and students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan on July 2, 2019, under the “Jigyasa”-Student-Scientist Connect Programme. Dr. Ranjana Aggarwal, Director CSIR-NISTADS, welcomed the teachers and students. She chaired the session and participated in all the interactive sessions with students and teachers and encouraged them to adopt a scientific approach towards life.
Dr. M. Rais, Senior Principal Scientist and Nodal Officer of Jigyasa programme gave detailed orientation about Jigyasa programme. About 100 students from class 9th to 12th from KVS Agra and Lalitpur along with 20 teachers participated in this interactive session. NISTADS scientists briefed them to the innovative techniques of water conservation, Air quality, agro-biodiversity, conservation, holistic health, environment, energy, big data challenges and general scientific issues etc. which would sensitize them to inculcate the scientific temperament.
